About Mistfall Builds

What this site is
Mistfall Builds is an independent, player-run fan guide site for Mistfall Hunter. It exists for the same reason most fan-guide sites exist: the official documentation covers the basics, but the questions real players actually ask — "what class do I take if I've never played an extraction game", "why does my frame rate tank in the hub", "which build still works after the latest patch" — don't get answered there.
Every guide on this site is written by someone who has actually played the build or run the route it describes, and who has revised it after the most recent live patch.
Who it's for
- New players looking for a first-class pick that won't brick their first 10 raids.
- Returning players checking what changed after a big patch (we keep revision dates visible).
- Solo and squad players who want extraction tactics written for real PvPvE — not PVE-only theorycraft.
- PC, PS5, and Xbox players who need to know crossplay setup, performance quirks, and input-mismatch fixes.
Editorial policy
Three rules we hold every guide to:
- Tested before published. No guide ships describing a build the author hasn't run. If a build stops working after a patch, it's pulled or revised — not left up to rot.
- Numbers beat vibes. When a tier list disagrees with another tier list, we say why — patch version, sample size, the conditions we tested under. Vague "this feels strong" takes don't get cut-and-pasted.
- Honest about downsides. A build guide that only lists the strengths of a class is marketing copy, not a guide. We mark the failure modes as carefully as the strengths.
Content sources
Each guide draws from three places, in this order of weight:
- First-hand play. The author has run the build or route under the conditions described.
- Public patch notes and official statements. When patch notes disagree with our experience, we say so explicitly and flag the version.
- Aggregate community signal. Reddit threads, Discord chatter, and Steam Charts are used as a sanity check on tier decisions — never as the primary source.
We do not currently run automated scrapers, paid research panels, or any background data collection on visitors. The only third-party script that loads is the advertising script, and only if you have given consent to the publisher (Google) on a page where ads are shown.
How the site is funded
The site is funded entirely by affiliate links to a small number of game-key marketplaces and a limited amount of display advertising where the audience reaches a threshold that allows it. No article is sponsored, paid for, or written to order. Affiliate commissions and ad revenue pay for hosting, the domain, and the time it takes to write and revise guides — they do not influence which builds or classes get covered.
If a guide recommends a key seller, it's because we use that seller's API or product page to verify the current price. If we stop recommending a seller, we update or remove the link; we don't hide it.
Independence
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by the publisher of Mistfall Hunter. All trademarks and game content referenced belong to their respective owners; this site is a fan project for educational and informational purposes.
Updates
Major guides are revised after each significant patch. The revision date is shown at the top of every page so you can tell how current the advice is. If you spot something out of date, the contact page shows how to report it.
