Mistfall Hunter Affixes Guide — Which Rolls Matter
Last revised 2026-08-14. Tested against the current live patch.
Affixes are the gem-socketed modifiers that decide whether a weapon or armor piece is good or garbage. This guide lists the affixes you'll meet, what they do at a high level, and how to prioritize them so you stop hoarding trash rolls.
What affixes are
Gear in Mistfall Hunter carries socketed affixes — modifier lines that scale specific stats. The same base item can roll differently, which is why two "blue" swords feel nothing alike. Learning which affixes matter for your class is the single biggest loot-filter upgrade you can make.
The affix names you'll see
- Valor — raises both attack and defense penetration; a flat damage/healing/shield boost.
- Tenacious — increases max health; at higher tiers also boosts incoming healing.
- Ranged — increases damage dealt at range, favoring bow and catalyst builds.
- Eloquence — speeds up chanting; at high tiers stops minor impacts from interrupting casts.
- Stoic — big survivability affix; at tier 5 it heals a chunk of HP when you drop below 30%.
- Fervor — rewards aggressive play with damage buffs while attacking; at 5 stacks adds penetration.
- Blessing — extends the duration of Zeal Mode and other buffs.
- Strife — boosts melee weapon damage; stronger when surrounded.
- Seamless — reduces skill cooldowns; at tier 5 refunds cooldown on knockdowns.
- Aegis — flat Defense and physical resistance; makes a caster surprisingly tanky.
Offense vs defense priorities
Every build needs a floor of defense (Tenacious / Stoic / Aegis) before offense pays off — in an extraction game, dying with a big damage number is still a wipe. Once you're durable enough to survive a bad trade, stack the damage affix your class leans on (Ranged for Black Arrow, Strife/Fervor for melee, Valor almost everywhere).
Per-class affix priorities
- Seer (support): Eloquence (anti-interrupt), Seamless (cooldown), Valor, Aegis. See the Seer build guide for the full loadout logic.
- Withered Knight (frontliner): Stoic, Tenacious, then Strife / Fervor for trades.
- Black Arrow (ranged): Ranged, Fervor, Valor — you live by damage-per-second at distance.
Apex affixes & how to farm good rolls
The best "apex" affix priorities differ per class, but the farming loop is the same: forge the gear you want, buy targeted pieces from the Auction House when RNG is cruel, and disenchant the rolls that don't fit your build instead of hoarding them. Purple-tier gear is where affixes start hitting their breakpoints — aim for it as soon as your bag allows.
